This imposing restored farmhouse to the Wadden seaside
This imposing restored farmhouse is set amid the fields that run down to the Wadden seaside. The former stable has been converted into a beautiful reception area with a long pine table strewn with magazines. The visitors' book awaits your entry on an old school desk. Breakfasts made with fresh local produce are served in the room next door. The four guest bedrooms have been decorated and furnished in contrasting colours. In the "Potershok" room, pale green is mixed with orangey-yellow and there is a large bed-alcove and an antique toilet. Each room has two extra folding beds. Some of the furniture recalls the past, like the occasional tables made from old potato crates. Inside the Lauwensmeer National Park, this beautiful place is an ideal starting-point for walks, and close to Dokkum, one of the "Eleven Villages of Friseland", for cultural events.
