This B&B is located at the heart of the Bresse district or Burgundy, beautiful countryside famous for its poultry, vegetables and other produce, which can be purchased at the famous weekly market in nearby Louhans. Your host Marie-Eugénie goes there to buy the ingredients for her delicious meals, which she enjoys preparing for her guests. Her eighteenth-century farmhouse oozes charm, with its half-timbering, its red-tiled roof and its wooden gangways. The terrace and the garden contain several sets of judiciously-placed wicker furniture for guests to relax on. Guests can also enjoy the large lounge with its open fireplace, comfortable sofas and works of art on cooler evenings. The lounge is linked to the dining room with its open kitchen which are also charming. The guest bedrooms are accessed via an external staircase and gangway. The walls and woodwork are painted in pastel tones and the furniture is a mixture of the exotic and things picked up here and there, brought together to create a lovely atmosphere. An excellent place to stop on the way south, but also from which to explore the rich history of the surrounding area (Beaune, Cluny, Tournus, etc.) or to sample the famous local wines (Burgundy, Maconnais, Jura, etc.).
