Our Findings
A report of our visit. What do we feel about this house. what makes it charming for us ?
This house's theme is travel: its name evokes maps, the rooms are named after the continents and it is filled with souvenirs brought back by Hilde and Francis from their travels. The "Asian" room has dark blue walls and Indian ornaments. It is the largest guest room and has its own spacious bathroom. The "African" room is smaller with a washbasin and a very compact shower-room with toilet, and evokes travel on the continent to the sound of drums. The "European" room is more traditional in style, with ochre walls evoking the Mediterranean. Breakfast is served on individual tables in the beautiful Art Deco dining room. The lounge is filled with maps, globes and travel guides that you can leaf through while sipping a cool drink from the bar, dreaming of travels past or to come. A friendly place, well-situated in the centre of the beautiful city of Ghent.
