Perched on a hill in a hamlet of around eight houses, “La Domaine de Terrac” enjoys superb views of the foothills of the Ariège Pyrenees. It is a quiet, relaxing location. The garden has various well-placed corners for reading or relaxation, separated by shrubs or rose beds. Each of the 5 guest bedrooms has its own style. The “Orientale” and “Sarrazine” rooms are spacious with lounge areas, small terraces and small second bedroom on a mezzanine. The “Cocagne”, “Pyrène” and “Compostelle” rooms, in the attic are smaller but very cosy. Across the landing from the guest bedrooms is a large guest lounge with sofa and armchairs with coloured cushions : an ideal spot for a snooze or relaxation. After an aperitif in the evening, Cathy serves your evening meal in the lounge or on the terrace, depending on the weather. The meals are a series of dishes prepared with fresh local produce and washed down with wines from South-Western France. Pierrick knows the region well and can advise on walks and interesting local markets and other tourist attractions. The region is not very well known, but has many lovely walks in unspoiled countryside, far from the noise and crowds of the city.
