Located in the midst of the hilly fields of the Basque country, Elhorga Farmhouse is a charming B&B situated 7km from the delightful seaside resort of St Jean-de-Luz, and close to the most beautiful Basque villages, Biarritz, Bayonne and Spain. It could not be better located, with the beautiful Atlantic coast beaches and seven of the best golf courses in Europe and many hiking and cycling trails all within easy reach of the B&B. Dating back to the seventeenth century, the farmhouse has been wonderfully restored and decorated in a harmonious mixture of contemporary styles, plus junkshop finds made by Julie, who's something of an expert. The house has beautiful rooms for guests: a library-cum-lounge, five beautiful bedrooms with electric beds, TV, WiFi and beautiful modern ensuite bathrooms, and a delightful breakfast room with individual tables. There is also a very pleasant heated swimming pool with a covered pergola and a verandah overlooking the garden. Julie and Pierre ensure there is a convivial atmosphere to match the panoramic views and charming interior. An excellent place to stay for a few days.
