300m from the beach at St Lunaire

Villa Christilla is a beautiful house located 300m from the beach at St Lunaire on the Emerald Coast. The house forms part of the village's history as it was the home of a long-distance sea captain who often sailed around Cape Horn. Today it is a listed building, as are many late nineteenth-century villas in St Lunaire, St Briac and Dinard. Its new owners have made sure that the building's original style and fixtures were respected during its renovation, including floorboards, wood-panelling and fireplaces, while managing to bring a fresh, tasteful air to the decor. The walls are painted in warm hues, the linen is white and the furniture and ornaments remind us that we are near the sea, as so the names of the guest bedrooms "Surcouf", "Duguay-Trouin", "Jacques Cartier" and "Chateaubriand", borrowed from four famous sons of St Malo. The two guest rooms on the second floor are particularly spacious and prettily furnished. The two others are more traditional but none the less charming. Breakfast is served at the large dining-room table and you will be spoiled for choice between various home-made breads and cakes, croissants, jams and fresh fruit salad. Another plus for this address is the warmth of the welcome guests receive. Your hosts are unpretentious, warm and attentive and their pleasure in receiving their guests is evident.
