St Valentine’s day draws near…

This country house located in the depths of the countryside, surrounded by meadows and woods is a surprise! A ruined former farmhouse, it was transformed into a charming holiday house through the good taste and imagination of its new owners. Many original features are visible, including ceiling beams and stone walls and the staircase, and the house is furnished with pieces picked up here and there which give it a lot of atmosphere.

The house is mostly let at weekends for couples. It offers one bedroom upstairs, a library, a huge living room open through two floors with a wood-burning stove and a dining room. In the next room is a small, old-fashioned but fully-equipped kitchen. The ground-floor bathroom is superb and boasts a shower and a bath with walls and panels covered in tobacco-coloured Moroccan limewash (tadelakt). Charm, calms and privacy are guaranteed for a romantic weekend break!
