Suspended from trees or floating on water, “Les Cabanes des Grands Lacs” are well-integrated into the landscape, spread out over some 130 hectares or lakes and woods. The cabins are well-hidden in the foliage of oak trees and are all different, both in size (for couples or families) and height off the ground (from 4m to 12m). Access is via stairs, ladders, suspended bridges or, for more sporty guests, by zip line. The Cabins floating on the water are fun with their pointy-hat roofs! The ones on the edge of the lake are accessed by pontoons, those in the middle of the lake by boat. Some have hot tubs filled with lake water. There is no running water or electricity here, the cabins are lit by candles or oil lamps, there is a container of drinking water and a composting toilet in each. A central communal building offers showers, flush toilets and a large lounge with board games, books and a coffee machine for rainy days. While breakfast is provided in the form of a well-filled basket left each morning at dawn outside each cabin, aperitifs and set-menu evening meals (Local specialities, Gourmet or Child’s) are available on request at extra cost. A place for an unforgettable stay, as a couple or in a family, close to nature in the foliage of the trees or on the water’s surface.
