The Moulin de la Ronce's waterwheel doesn't turn anymore, but is still visible with the river flowing below it. Grouped around a courtyard garden are the main house, the former stables, the bread oven and the dovecote. They form a delightfully peaceful ensemble, and have all been tastefully converted into guest accommodation. Built out above the river, the "Watermill" suite is huge and filled with daylight and in the bathroom guests can see some of the old mill machinery. The "Bread Oven" suite is quite unusual with its low-ceiling bedroo and its bathroom on stilts. As for the "Stables" room, there's no mistaking it, for the mangers are still there! The rooms are brightened up with carefully-chosen furniture and ornaments by famous designers, which give them a contemporary feel. Guests also have access to lounges, a dining room and a gym, as well as fishing rods, a rowing boat and bicycles. The organic garden and vegetable patch, the vine and the orchard as well as the courtyard and lakeside gardens are delightful places in which to relax in bucolic surroundings. This is the land of Marcel Proust, of the "Pré catelan" and the Château des Guermantes...

They were seduced by its beautiful rooms, its stucco ceilings, its marble fireplaces and its garden surrounded by high walls. After two years' work, they have restored this beautiful house's original soul, with hints of their favourite Swedish Gustavian style.
