Cape Cod, on the Atlantic coast of the USA

Cape Cod is a peninsula in Massachusetts, not far from Boston on the East coast of the USA. Designated a National Seashore in 1961 by President Kennedy, it is a protected area and includes superb beaches, dunes, bays and lagoons, where visitors can watch many species of birds, as well as seals, sharks and whales.

Its traditional timber-clad houses melt into the landscape. Many of them now offer B&B rooms or are inns exuding old-fashioned charm, including our discovery, The Nauset House Inn, where we were warmly welcomed by the charming couple who own it, John and Cindy. Guests can choose from 14 bedrooms, all prettily furnished and some with private bathrooms.

Every morning, you will be surprised by Cindy’s breakfasts, which include pancakes, scrambled eggs, special omelettes and muffins… all delicious and nourishing! The inn is located 500m from Nauset beach, one of the best in the area, where you can enjoy walks or swim in the Atlantic.

We have no hesitation in recommending this particular B&B from among the hundred-or-so on Cape Cod.
