The province of West Flanders (West-Vlaanderen) is the only Belgian province with a coastline, on the North Sea. This coast is a major tourist area and a tram (the Kusttram) runs along its entire length, from De Panne on the French border to Knokke-Heist, not far from the border with the Netherlands. The main centres are Ostend (Oostende) and Zeebruges (Zeebrugge).
